Apple's Reminders app just got another new improvement with the latest iOS 26.4 update

Apple recently rolled out the iOS 26.4 update, and it comes with some cool new features, including a very handy addition for the Reminders app.
Apple launched the latest iOS back in September, alongside the iPhone 17 family and the iPhone Air.
Since its initial launch, we’ve had a handful of updates, which not only iron out any issues and keep your iPhone more secure, but also offer some cool new features.
At the end of last month, Apple released iOS 26.4 and, as ever, it brought with it some updates that could help make life a little easier.
Apple has made the Reminders app more useful than ever
Your iPhone is packed with helpful apps that let you do everything from checking the weather on the go to taking notes and scanning documents.
You can also use the Reminders app to create to-do lists, shopping lists, and smart location-based reminders that’ll pop in when you’re in a certain spot.

With the iOS 26.2 update late last year, Apple made Reminders even more useful by putting in an Urgent feature.
The new feature allows you to mark time-sensitive tasks as Urgent and gives you the option of setting an alarm when you hit the due time, so there’s no ignoring that deadline or to-do list.
With the new iOS 26.4, Apple has improved the Urgent feature by introducing a new Urgent Smart List, which will keep all of your most pressing tasks in one neat list near the top of the Reminders home screen, meaning you can see them all in one place.
Alongside that, the tech giant has made it easier than ever to mark something as Urgent.
Now, all you need to do is long-press the task and tap Mark as Urgent, or head to the Quick Toolbar after hitting the calendar icon.
So, thanks to the latest iOS update, Apple users have no excuse to miss an important deadline ever again.
What else is new on iOS 26.4?
If you’re yet to upgrade to iOS 26.4 or you haven’t had a chance to play around with it yet, there are some very interesting new features you’re missing out on.
Apple Music got five new features, including an AI Playlist Playground tool, concert info, and a new design for playlists and albums.

While Podcasts got an enhanced video experience, and the Health app was given some new Sleep and Vital data.
Apple also introduced a revamped and upgraded wallpaper gallery and some new emojis.
And there have been some changes to CarPlay, including video playback and support for AI chatbots.
