People claim to have figured out GTA VI release date through hidden message in trailer
The trailer for GTA VI only just dropped – but many are already impatient to know the release date.
And some eagle-eyed viewers think they’ve figured out the release date from a hidden message in the trailer.

The video game publisher went and dropped the GTA VI trailer a day early, after it was initially leaked.
Rockstar CEO, Sam Houser, said last month that the first trailer for the long-awaited game would be arriving in “early December”.
It was to be timed with the company’s 25th anniversary.
Then, on-the-edge-of-their-seat fans got another big update on Friday (1 December).
Rockstar revealed that the release date for the first trailer would be on 5 December at 9am ET.
Palm trees on the announcement also revealed the Vice City location.
However, after the son of an employee leaked the trailer on Sunday, the video-game publisher made the decision to drop it a day early.
“Our trailer has leaked so please watch the real thing on YouTube,” Rockstar said on Monday (4 December).
It left gamers stunned and scrambling to watch – smashing YouTube viewing figures previously held by MrBeast.
Set in Vice City, as expected, we were introduced to a woman called Lucia as one of the lead characters.
She’s the first-ever female lead character in GTA history.
Sadly, we’ll have to wait till 2025 for the full release.
But when in 2025? Some eagle-eyed viewers believe they’ve worked it out.
Just 15 seconds in we get a coastal view of Vice City as a plane flies across the screen.
It’s trailing a banner, which reads: “Why Sixty Nine When You Can Nine 1 Nine?”
While incomprehensible to some, GTA fans understood the assignment.
They took to social media to explain that it could be code for a potential release date.
“9.19.2025 Mark my Words,” one said.
“9/19/25 CONFIRMED,” a second confirmed.
“9th September 2025?” chimed yet another.
However, one sceptic debunked the theory.
“Its a reference of E11even Miami, a really famous club in Miami,” they said.
“This has to be an E11even parody,” confirmed another.
Only time – and Rockstar – will tell.
