Georgia man buys millionaire's abandoned PODS container for $2,050 and finds some interesting tech inside

This Georgia man decided to buy a millionaire’s abandoned PODS container for just $2,050 and, boy, did he find some interesting tech inside.
What started as a risky storage auction quickly turned into a treasure hunt packed with surprises.
From high-end artwork to retro gaming gems, the contents hinted at a seriously wealthy previous owner.
But it was the unexpected tech finds hidden inside that really made this haul stand out.
He bought a millionaire’s abandoned PODS container for $2,050
Buying abandoned storage units is always a gamble, but this one looked promising from the start as it was stuffed full of art, both vintage and modern tech, and even some taxidermized animals.
The man with the plan was YouTuber Harrison Nevel, and he found the container was packed to the brim with neatly wrapped boxes, furniture, and sealed items, suggesting it belonged to someone with a lot of money to spare.
Early finds included brand-new appliances, including a vacuum and kitchen gear, but things got more interesting as the unboxing continued.

Among the standout discoveries was a personal phototherapy tanning system, still boxed, and valued at around $1,250.
There was also a stash of retro and modern video games, including classic titles from Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, some of which still had resale value for collectors.
Even a sealed Nintendo Switch game made an appearance, showing this wasn’t just old storage but a mix of past and relatively recent tech.

This could be a major payday
As more boxes were opened, it became clear this wasn’t an ordinary storage unit because the tech was just one piece of the puzzle, with high-end artwork, antique mirrors, and even a vintage-style chandelier adding serious value.
One antique mirror alone was estimated at over $1,000, while multiple signed art pieces could fetch hundreds each, including a fancy, inscribed clock.

There were also some seriously unexpected finds, including taxidermy stuffed birds tucked away in boxes, which can surprisingly sell for hundreds of dollars depending on the type and condition.
Add in a $100 unused gift card, a premium artificial Christmas tree worth hundreds, and plenty of smaller resale items, and the value kept climbing.

Despite some lower-value items like glassware, clothing, and personal Christmas cards, the overall haul added up quickly, and by the end, the total estimated value of everything inside reached over $12,000.
Considering the initial spend was just $2,050, that left Harrison looking at a potential profit of more than $10,000, not bad for a mystery PODS container bought on a whim.
