Bizarre viral footage shows an advanced humanoid robot actively chasing wild animals through a neighborhood

If you thought a humanoid robot was strange enough already, bizarre viral footage shows an advanced one actively chasing wild animals through a neighborhood.
The clip, filmed in Warsaw, Poland, shows a humanoid robot called Edward Warchocki running after a group of wild boars through what looks like a neighborhood setting.
It makes you do a double-take, because seeing a robot out in public is one thing, but seeing one apparently herding boars down the street is something else entirely.
And while the moment has gone viral for how strange it looks, locals in Poland are no strangers to either urban boars or Edward himself.
An advanced humanoid robot in a scene nobody saw coming
At first glance, the bizarre tech video looks almost too odd to be real.
A humanoid robot sprinting after wild animals is not exactly the sort of thing most people expect to see on a casual walk around the neighborhood, but that is exactly what happened in Warsaw.
The robot, known as Edward Warchocki, has already built up a bit of a reputation in the Polish capital thanks to his regular appearances on the streets, where he has been seen interacting with members of the public.

That means Edward is not some mystery machine that suddenly turned up out of nowhere.
Still, even for a robot with street cred, chasing after a group of boars is a particularly wild decision.
The footage has, of course, gone viral as it is the perfect example of nature vs. machine.

He was chasing wild animals through a neighborhood
Part of what makes the clip so fascinating is that the big pigs themselves are not unusual in Poland.
Wild boars are a common sight there, and they are often spotted wandering into urban areas while looking for food.

So while the robot is definitely the standout character in this story, the boars are actually behaving in a way that people in the area may find pretty familiar.
Put the two together, though, and you get a scene that feels like what nature documentaries of the future will look like.
It is not clear whether Edward was genuinely trying to move the boars along or whether the whole moment was just for fun, but either way, the result is the kind of video the internet was always going to fall in love with.
