iOS 26.4 is now available and this is everything that's new to your iPhone

Tech fans rejoice because iOS 26.4 is now available, and Apple has packed in a surprisingly chunky list of updates, but are you aware of everything new to your iPhone?

From smarter music tools to fresh emojis and small but handy quality-of-life fixes, this one has a bit of everything.

It’s not a dramatic top-to-bottom iPhone reinvention, but it does bring enough changes to make the update feel worthwhile.

And for anyone who loves spotting the little details, there is plenty here to dig into.

Everything that’s new to your iPhone thanks to iOS 26.4

Anyone with an up-to-date Apple device will be pleased to hear that iOS 26.4 has landed.

One of the biggest practical upgrades in iOS 26.4 is a fix for keyboard accuracy, which will be welcome news for anyone whose thumbs move faster than their iPhone can keep up.

Apple Music also got a pretty flashy refresh: album artwork now fades into the background with a more animated look, and the app has had a UI tidy-up that makes things feel cleaner.

But the biggest Apple Music change is the new AI playlist creation tool.

Users with supported devices can now generate playlists based on prompts like a vibe, an era, an activity, or even something ultra-specific, then tweak the results however they like.

There is also a new option to add one song to multiple playlists at once, which is the kind of tiny feature that somehow makes life a lot easier.

And if that was not enough, Apple Music can now show when artists are on tour, where they are playing, and even let users buy tickets directly through the app.

It also makes switching from rival services smoother by allowing playlist and music transfers from platforms like Spotify and YouTube Music.

Updates beyond Apple Music

Outside of Apple Music, iOS 26.4 brings a new ambient music widget that can play sleep, focus, productivity, and wellbeing sounds straight from the widget page.

There are also updates to iCloud, including a feature that allows search across other Apple devices, plus a small wallpaper management tweak that lets users remove some preloaded wallpaper collections to free up space.

Apple has thrown in a batch of new emojis, too, including additions like a killer whale, Bigfoot, a trombone, and a treasure chest.

Sleep tracking fans also get a new average bedtime metric in the Health app if they use an Apple Watch overnight.

Then there are the smaller details: a new Freeform icon, a reduced transparency setting for a less glary look, and a few hidden features found in code that still seem to be waiting in the wings for a future update.
