NASA reveals mind-boggling video of surface of Mars from its Perseverance Rover

This panoramic video was taken on Mars by the left Navcam of the NASA Perseverance rover on 5 April.

Check out the incredible footage in the video below:

NASA chose Jezero Crater out of 60 options as the landing site for the Perseverance rover.

This is because NASA scientists believe the area was flooded with water 3.5 billion years ago.

It’s thought to have been home to an ancient river delta due to remaining clay minerals.

It means microbial life could have once lived in the area.

The awe-inspiring views of Jezero crater were taken from the outer fans of Jezero delta.

It even captured a huge dust devil swirling near the crater rim.

GeoVisual Design student, Simeon Schmauß, calibrated tiled images to match how eyes would actually see it.
