Apple responds to reports of iPhone 15 Pro changing color after use

The new Apple iPhone 15 launches today and people are already taking to X to address a potential issue.

People immediately noticed the new iPhone can sometimes change color when you’re using it.

And Apple’s response is, well, surprising.

Most users were sort of expecting Apple to be like, “nope, that’s just your impression, guys”, but the Cupertino giant did the opposite.

Apple responded by sharing a note on its website.

The note says that yes, the new iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max could experience a color shift on titanium frame, but it’s only temporary.

“The oil from your skin might temporarily alter the color of the outside band,” the note reads.

“Wiping your iPhone with a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth will restore the original look.”

The color change only applies to the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max due to their titanium frame, and so far there have been no complaints regarding discoloration on the ‘regular’ iPhone 15.

This is the second time in the span of a week that Apple has had to address some complaints.

Right after the release of the new iOS 17 update, people took to X and online forums to complain after noticing their iPhone’s battery level appeared to be going down faster than normal.

But to be fair that was basically the only complaint as people seemed to love the new iOS 17 features, especially NameDrop.

In short, NameDrop allows you to exchange contacts between iPhones by simply placing one phone next to the other.

The new Apple iPhone 15 starts at $799, meanwhile the iPhone 15 Pro starts at $999.
