Apple can’t seem to cut a break at the minute.
First, there were reports of the iPhone 15 Pro Max overheating randomly.
There’s also been issues with frozen screens and battery life, too – and now users are facing another problem.

Images have surfaced online suggesting some users are experiencing OLED burn-in issues with their phones.
This occurs when an image is displayed on the screen for too long, and parts of it begin to appear on the screen, permanently surrounded by a hazy background.
Not what you’d want or expect to happen when you’ve just dropped $1,200 on the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Apple’s been using OLED panels in its phones since the iPhone X was launched in 2017.
However, this is the first time we’ve heard of it affecting a flagship model so recently after launch.
Officially announced in mid-September, users have only had their devices for less than a month.
But, despite the devices being so new, people are reporting burn-in issues with their iPhone 15 Pro Max handsets on online forums and Reddit.

In the vast majority of cases, the icons on the home screen or keyboard are visible.
However, it’s worth noting that both the iPhone 14 and 15 Pro phones offer an “always-on” display, though this feature can be disabled.
According to one user on the MacRumors forum, burn-in occurred after only 14 days of use.
So, they took their iPhone Pro Max to the Genius Bar where they were told it was “ghosting” and that they’d normally just replace the display.
However, because the model is so new, no parts are available just yet, so they were offered a replacement phone.
But there weren’t any in stock – again, because it’s so new – so they would have to wait, which isn’t ideal for obvious reasons.
Another user, this time on Reddit, said they were experiencing the same issue despite using their phone like “normal” without any prolonged viewing of one particular image.
They noticed the home screen icons were mainly burned in, but the thumbnail of a single YouTube video they watched was also persistent.
The Redditor even noted they’d seen five phones affected by burn-in so far, although it’s unclear how widespread the issue is.
