'Scary' NASA supercomputer simulation shows what it'd be like to fly around a black hole

Check out this ‘scary’ NASA supercomputer simulation that shows what it’d be like to fly around a black hole in space, and it’s quite a freaky feeling.

This is a supermassive black hole surrounded by a hot, glowing disk of gas. According to NASA, the thin inner circle is called the photon ring, and it’s an image produced by light that has orbited the hole.

Time actually slows down inside, so light moves more quickly outside, but it’s a crazy feeling, it’s almost hypnotic with the relaxing and swelling music.

Check out the video above and put yourself inside an endless abyss in space.
