RC car with razor blade wheels can cut through the ice of a frozen lake

This remote controlled car has razor sharp saw blade wheels to cut through ice, as well as being capable of some serious speed.

We obviously don’t recommend you try this at home, even if your home does have a massive frozen lake right by it, but it’s pretty cool to look at.

The folks from Fivo Nine stuck saw blade wheels onto an RC car, then proceeded to have a bit of fun around the lake, watching as the car cut straight into the thick ice, as well as hitching a lift on the back.

Don’t get too close to those wheels though, eh?

The car can get up to 50 km/h (31 mph) across the ice, which is very quick for an RC car, especially one fitted out like this.

You can also get tugged along behind it on a sled, though it’s best to take the saw blade wheels off first.

In the video, Dima – who creates RC cars like this one – shows off some of the fun that he has with his fleet of tiny cars.

As hobbies go, it’s a pretty great one.
