Man gets $220,000 Facebook Marketplace TV for 95% off but the lowball backfires when he tries to install it

A man managed to buy a $220,000 Samsung Wall TV for a fraction of the cost after spotting it on Facebook Marketplace, but things took a turn when he attempted to set it up.
Facebook Marketplace can be a real treasure trove.
From a street-legal Chevy Camaro-inspired golf cart to a helicopter painted to look like a shark, the online marketplace has some seriously unusual finds.
Which is what YouTuber ODS discovered after scrolling through Marketplace at night and spotting a $220,000 Samsung Wall TV.
The Samsung Wall TV is an absolute beast
At this point, you might be questioning how a TV can cost more than $200,000, but that’s because the Samsung Wall TV isn’t your average set.
Rather than your standard one-screen setup, the Samsung Wall is made up of different units, which combine to create one large screen.

Its large-as-you-like size means that the Samsung Wall TV is an ideal fit for car dealerships, high-end shops, government departments, and fancy hotels.
But when ODS saw a 148-inch Samsung Wall TV for sale on Facebook Marketplace, he decided to put in a bid and see if he could get his hands on one for a lot less than its original retail price.
Initially, he didn’t think he’d be able to afford the expensive TV, but after seeing it still listed for sale a week on, he sent over a cheeky ‘biggest lowball of all lowballs’ offer of just $7,000.
This first bid was rejected, but after a bit of back and forth, the seller agreed to part with the super-sized Samsung TV for just $10,000, meaning a saving of a whopping 95 percent based on its original price.
The YouTuber enlisted the help of some pals to pick up the big TV, which was actually made up of 16 individual screens, branding it the ‘opportunity of a lifetime’.
But setting up the Facebook Marketplace bargain wasn’t a simple process
However, the YouTuber quickly realized that purchasing and picking up the Samsung Wall TV was really only the first step in a long process.

After safely collecting the item, he and his pals had to test each of the 16 panels to check they were working and then call in professional electricians to fit enough power outlets and mounting brackets for the TV to actually work.
In total, the TV needed eight outlets and its own breaker.
And after setting it all up, the YouTuber realized he had made a big mistake.
He had arranged the panels into columns, but later found out that the software the Samsung Wall TV runs on needs it all to be quadrants, so he had to disassemble the whole thing and start again.
Then, after sorting out that issue, the LED modules began to fall off their magnetized mounts, and the YouTuber had to ‘re-seat’ them using a high-powered magnet.
After quite a lot of effort and several bumps in the road, ODS finally got the Samsung Wall TV up and running, and it was an impressive sight.
In all, he spent $11,500 on the TV, including professional electrical work and fittings, which is still a phenomenal saving on the original retail price of $220,000.
